At Wood by Whiting, David Whiting builds small custom-made shaker furniture and hand-turned wooden items and wooden pens and pencils. The furniture is usually Shaker-inspired. The tools and techniques are traditional, no shortcuts are ever taken. The finish is hand rubbed; “I do not use power sprays or other high volume processes. The products I make take longer to build than high volume production companies.”
