Why Should I Become a Retailer?
Hey everyone! I am so excited to be the new owner of Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co. OFMP has been manufacturing Sweet Pickins Milk Paint since the beginning and I consider it a true honor that I was asked if I wanted to purchase the company when the old owners retired. OFMP is the oldest manufacture of milk paint in the U.S. and a leader in the milk paint world. We genuinely believe that we offer a superior milk paint and hear that time and time again from our customers.
Our 3 milk paint lines are a true, natural milk paint that is free from harmful ingredients so widely used in commercial paints today. “Green” products are becoming more and more popular and important to those who are looking for safe alternative paints.
We offer a huge variety of colors to appeal to everyone. Milk paint is a great product as it is so versatile and can give your customers a wide variety of looks. We also have several all-natural finishing coats and a wide array of painting tools that you can add to your store.
Between Sweet Pickins and Old Fashioned Milk Paint we currently have well over 400 retailers and
we are even international! We are accepting retailers from across the world.
Sweet Pickins/Old Fashioned Milk Paint has a large online presence and we stay current on social media. We share customer and retailer projects daily. Customers love seeing projects done by others just like them and not necessarily a “professional” painter.
We do offer a private retailers only page on FB where you can interact with other retailers, we have found this to be greatly beneficial as you can jump on and ask questions and get advice.
We do plan on in person retailer training in the near future. We ask that you check our FB group frequently as that is our main way of keeping everyone updated.
We know you have several paint lines to choose from and it can be an overwhelming choice. Adding in a quality paint line is an investment but it can take your business to the next level. Please keep in mind that milk paint is a specialty product. It does best when a retailer uses, teaches, and promotes the paint. Those retailers that offer classes/videos by far sell the most paint. It is a great way to get your customers excited and want to buy all the things!
